1) Create An Artifact

Create, document and submit an artifact for consideration to be displayed at ArcheoExpo 2011. Artifacts must be submitted from May 25 through June 25. Artifacts should reflect or relate to established in-world Grid history from either the Trust’s Pre-Erase Age (before 1969) or the Linden Age (2003-2011). Strive for authenticity and relevance by utilizing the resources* noted below. The Trust will be judging and certifying each artifact based on the documentation included with the artifact.

• Create the artifact - 25 prims or less, 3 meters or less in length, object permissions must be no copy, no mod, transfer (artifacts not meeting these specifications will be immediately rejected)

• Document the artifact - notecards, photos, landmarks to remote sites, theoretical speculation, web references, audio/video documentation, third party testimony/verification, X-rays, scans, etc. Your relic will be judged more authentic, valuable and relevant if it is thoroughly documented and connected to established history.

• Submit the artifact - The artifact and associated documentation must be packaged in a crate and submitted directly to Salazar Jack, an officer of the Phyneas Jack Memorial Trust. The artifact you submit will be unique and unchanging (no copy, no mod, transfer) and will remain so even after it is returned to you.

Artifacts will be evaluated and accepted for display in the ArcheoExpo at the Trust’s discretion on a first-come-first-serve basis. Space is limited and not all submissions are guaranteed a place at the Expo. Any submissions not selected will be returned to their creator ASAP after the Expo. The Trust is not responsible for lost or stolen artifacts.

The Trust will evaluate all artifacts selected for display at the Expo as to their authenticity based on the creator's accompanying documentation and the artifact's ties to established Grid history (both Pre-Erase and Linden Age). The Trust will assign one of three levels of certification to each artifact and will select one artifact as the Relic of the Year, an honor bestowed on the most significant archeological find presented at the Expo.

All artifacts will be on display in the Seaside Village in Cowell for two weeks. After that, each artifact's creator will have the opportunity to have their relic put on display in the Nova Albion Museum of History and Antiquity in Grignano, Nova Albion indefinitely or returned to them immediately.
